French Rugby Club Montpellier have confirmed that they have signed Springboks
and Sharks front row brothers Jannie and Bismarck du Plessis.
The Sharks confirmed the Du Plessis brothers departure a week ago but they
failed to add where the players would be playing their game.
Prop Jannie (32 years, 62 caps) and hooker Bismarck (31 years, 70 caps) will
join Montpellier after the Northern Hemisphere’s summer break.
The Springbok duo have both signed with Montpellier for three seasons.
The pair won the Rugby World Cup in 2007 under current Montpellier coach and
former Springbok and Sharks coach Jake White.
“They have a good experience,” said White of the double signing.
“This is fantastic for them to come here and share their knowledge with
their fellow Montpellier players.”
