Springbok Rugby World Cup reject loose forward Oupa Mohoje has been named on
the Free State replacements bench for this week’s Currie Cup match against the
Blue Bulls at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
Free State coach Franco Smith has chosen to gradually ease Mohoje back into
Currie Cup action.
In the one change to the starting line-up, Jacques du Toit and Elandre Huggett
switch places at hooker. Huggett starts while Du Toit is on the bench.
Cornal Hendricks, who also missed out on World Cup selection, was not considered
for this match.
Smith’s troops go into this fixture on the back of two back-to-back victories
over Griquas and Western Province, whom they defeated by 28-21 in Bloemfontein
last Friday.
On the other hand, the Bulls will be equally confident to face the Cheetahs
after registering four consecutive wins so far in the competition.
The Pretoria side beat the Cheetahs 57-19 in the same competition in Bloemfontein
last month.
