France head coach Guy Noves has called up Samoan-born Castres winger David Smith and Stade Francais full-back Djibril Camara for the Six Nations.
Noves has called the duo up as Racing 92 wing Teddy Thomas and Montpellier back Marvin O’Connor were both injured playing for their clubs on Saturday..
Twenty-nine-year-old Smith originally made his name with the Hurricanes in Super Rugby before he joined the Blues and then Western Force.
Since 2011 Smith has been playing in France, first for Toulon and then at the beginning of this season he moved to Castres and now qualifies for France on residency rules.
Twenty-six-year-old Camara has not played for France and neither has Smith but he eligibility could be questioned as he played Sevens for the All Blacks in 2008.
