Cuthbert back for Bath against Worcester

Having taken on the kicking duties against London Irish last weekend, young winger Jack Cuthbert will be putting his boot back into action this Saturday against Worcester Warriors.

Kicking three penalties for Bath against Irish last Saturday, Cuthbert has been awarded the starting berth again for the third of Bath’s derby matches this season having impressed the coaches with his ability and professional mindset.

“He is a very accomplished kicker,” said skills and defence coach Brad Davis earlier this week.

“Jack is spending a lot of time on the practise ground and working hard at his game. I think that in the corresponding fixture last year when we played Worcester he scored a couple of tries, but unfortunately he had a couple of injuries that set him back.”

Now free from injury, the 6′ 5″, 21 year old has a maturity beyond his years, demonstrating all the key attributes a player needs to secure a successful future.

“The best thing about Jack is his attitude,” admitted Davis.

“He has a great attitude! Jack wants to improve as a player at all times. If he can continue at that rate then his future holds no bounds and we are looking forward to watching him develop.”

Although Matt Banahan is still out due to his hamstring injury, Jonny Faamatuainu comes back into the fold to face the Warriors in the back row.
