Cronje and Mnisi captain Lions in Currie Cup opener

The Golden Lions have named Ross Cronjé and Howard Mnisi as co-captains for their Currie Cup opening match against the Pumas.

The dual captaincy system will be used throughout the Currie Cup season and will not be just for Saturday’s match against the e Pumas at Emirates Airline Park.

Nine seniors are away on Springbok duty while a few seniors will have a well deserved rest.

The side taking on the Pumas is blend of seniors and young stalwarts who performed well in the Currie Cup Qualifying round.
