Connacht announce 24 man squad for must win Glasgow clash

Connacht have announced a 24 man squad for the Magners League clash against Glasgow at the Sportsground on Friday (kick off: 6.30pm).

Johnny O’Connor, John Hearty and Robbie Morris have all recovered from injury and are included as Connacht bid to kickstart their Magners League campaign.

Connacht skipper John Muldoon says that the visit of Glasgow to the Sportsground is a key game for his men.

“It is a massive match and one we must win. We were very disappointed with our performance away to the Scarlets and we want to correct that.

“We are now in our own backyard and we want to show our fans what we can do. Glasgow are a very good side, they have 15 or 16 internationals in their squad, but this is one we need to win and with the crowd behind us we can do that,” said Muldoon.

Connacht’s next home match after Friday will be against Leinster on Sunday, 5th October (kick off: 6pm) and tickets for this game are on sale.

Connacht squad:
Liam Bibo, Andrew Browne, Kieran Campbell, Fionn Carr, Sean Cronin, Mel Deane, Gavin Duffy, Andy Dunne, Adrian Flavin, Andrew Farley, John Hearty, Ian Keatley, Ronan Loughney, Keith Matthews, Michael McCarthy, Brian McGovern, Robbie Morris, John Muldoon, Frank Murphy, John O’Connor, Ray Ofisa, Colm Rigney, Brett Wilkinson, Aidan Wynne.

Not considered due to injury: Tim Donnelly (shoulder), David Gannon (foot), Conor O’Loughlin (hip), Daniel Riordan (hamstring), Michael Roberts (calf), Michael Swift (leg).
