Sale Sharks and former England fly-half has revealed that he will decide his future with the Premiership club in the coming weeks.
Cipriani is believed to have signed a two year contract with the club last year but it is thought that he has a break clause that he could activate.
Cipriani made his name playing for Wasps which led to an England call up but then he fell out of favour and moved to Melbourne to play Super Rugby for the Rebels.
Since returning to England he has impressed for Sale Sharks and was close to making the England squad.
The former England fly-half is understood to be on Toulon’s radar and several other Premiership clubs would be keen to sign him.
“The decision on my future is something I’m going to have to make within the next week or so,” he told BBC Radio Manchester.
“I’ve not kept Dimes [director of rugby Steve Diamond] in the lurch with anything, we have a very good relationship.
“We talk very openly about a lot of things, so it’s not like he doesn’t know what the decisions or options are for me.
“It’s no discredit to Sale or credit to anyone else – it’s something that I’m going to have to really think about, whether that be my family or things to do with my mum, or whatever it might be, there is a lot that comes into it.”
