Free State Cheetahs coach Franco Smith has made changes to his team for this
week’s Currie Cup clash against Western Province in Bloemfontein on Friday.
BG Uys replaces Caylib Oosthuizen at loosehead prop while the latter moves
to the bench in Maks van Dyk’s place.
Van Dyk has been released to play for the Barbarians against Samoa in London.
Tienie Burger is not included in the team due to an injury and replaced by
Tertius Kruger, who provides lock/flank cover on the bench
Since August 1894, the Free State Cheetahs (Free State) and Western Province
have had 95 Currie Cup encounters of which WP won 60 and the Cheetahs won 32
and three were drawn.
Two of the matches were Currie Cup finals and four were semi-finals.
