Bulls beat Sharks in Pretoria

Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Bulls and the Sharks the Pretoria based Bulls have won three and the Sharks two.

We are waiting for the kick off.

Handre Pollard kicks off and we are underway. 

0.15: The Bulls win a penalty almost straight away for offside. Pollard will kick for posts. 

1.00: Pollard slots the kick and the Bulls lead. 

4.00: The Sharks go through the phases on attack. They work the ball to about 10m from the Bulls line and they win a penalty for hands in the ruck. 

6.00: Lambie takes the kick and nails it. The scores are level. 

9.00: Penalty to the Bulls. Pollard takes the shot for posts and nails it. The Bulls lead. 

13.00: Another penalty to the Bulls. Pollard lines up the kick and nails it. 

17.00: Scrum penalty to the Bulls. Pollard kicks for touch and the line out. 

22.00: Yet another penalty. This time the Sharks get the penalty. Pat Lambie takes the kick and he slots it. 

24.00 : After the restart the Bulls race away for a try. There is a possible foot in touch, a forward pass and other problems so the TMO is called in. Francois Hougaard scored the try so he has a nervous wait. The ball moved forward according to the TMO but its inconclusive as to whether the ball was passed forward to the TRY stands. 

25.00: Pollard slots the conversion. 

26.00: Bismarck du Plessis takes a swing at Victor Matfield but only concedes a penalty. The Bulls kick for touch. 

27.00: The Sharks get the ball from the line out and run at the Bulls with pace. The press the Bulls back over the tryline but the Bulls clear the ball into touch. 

29.00: The Sharks run at the Bulls and SP Marais breaks down the wing, he passes to Ndungane and he passes to Kankowski who scores. TRY! 

30.00: Lambie adds the conversion. 

32.00: Penalty to the Sharks. Lambie lines up the kick. He takes his time and nails it leveling the scores. 

35.00:The Bulls work the ball to the Sharks tryline through a series of mauls, rucks and attacking runs. Deon Stegmann bursts through a gap and scores. TRY! 

36.00: Pollard adds the conversion. 

39.00: The Sharks look to attack wide but Lambie is tackled high into touch by Jan Serfontein. The Sharks get a penalty and kick for touch.

The siren sounds for half time and Pollard chips it into touch.

41.00: The Sharks win an early penalty for Stegmann falling over. They will kick for posts. 

42.00: Lambie slots the kick and cuts the gap to four. 

43.00: The Bulls move the ball down the line and Pierre Spies slips through a gap and scores under the posts. TRY 

44.00: Pollard adds the conversion.

49.00: The Sharks enjoy a spell of continuous possession pressing the Bulls backwards. They win a penalty so Lambie will take a shot at the posts. 

51.00: Lambie’s kick is successful. 

57.00: The Bulls sustain some pressure from the Sharks before Handre Pollard sends them well back with a kick for touch. 

59.00: Penalty to the Bulls for side entry. Pollard takes the kick and nails it. 

60.00: Oh wow. Rudy Paige goes to clear the ball and it gets charged down by Cobus Reinach who grabs the ball and races for the line and scores. TRY! 

61.00: Lambie takes the conversion and slots it. 

65.00: The Sharks try the high kick for the wing. Ndungane gets the ball beating two Bulls and he passes to SP Marais who scores in the corner. We go to the TMO. The TMO rules Ndungane knocked the ball on. No try. Sharks have a penalty for an earlier advantage. 

66.00: Lambie takes the shot and nails it. Thats 8 from 8. 

69.00: The Bulls have replaced Handre Pollard. Could be a match decider. 

71.00 The Sharks win a penalty which is kickable. Matfield is not happy at all. Lambie will kick for posts. 

Lambie takes the kick and slots it. Sharks lead. 

74.00; Penalty to the Bulls. Tian Schoeman who has just come on to make his Super Rugby debut will kick for posts. He lines up the kick and nails it. 

75.00; The Bulls are trying to play the game in the Sharks half. Lambie gets the ball and boots it back. Territory battle. 

78.00: The Bulls have the ball and are attacking just inside the Sharks half. They have an advantage. They play on and win a penalty. 

79.00: Schoeman kicks for touch and the Bulls will have a line out.The Sharks steal the line out and attack. 

80.00: The siren sounds as the Sharks attack. The Bulls somehow turn the ball over and Serfontein crawls for the line and  scores. The TMO checks.

80.00: The try is awarded to Serfontein. It’s a bonus point TRY!

81.00: Schoeman slots the conversion which denies the Sharks a bonus point.
