Bristol’s young guns ready for challenge ahead

Bristol Rugby supporters will get the opportunity to watch some of the club’s exciting young talent when the team take on the Bristol Combination on Tuesday night in the only preseason friendly to be played in Bristol.

The Combination clash replaces the usual friendly fixture against Clifton and will actually take place at Clifton RFC which is, of course, Bristol Rugby’s training base.

The starting line up will not be named until after training has been completed on Bank Holiday Monday but Head Coach Richard Hill has indicated that new signings Sam Alford, Chris Ashwin and Vunga Lilo are all set to feature along with a crop of the club’s recent Academy graduates – Ryan Prosser, Josh Brown, David Attwood, Redford Pennycook, Chevvy Pennycook, James Phillips and Luke Eves – all of whom are now in the senior squad.

The full squad (who are not involved in the actual match) will be available for a chat in the Clifton clubhouse between 6:30pm & 7:30pm so it’s a great opportunity to come and meet the squad in an informal setting.

The players will be happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures and pose for pictures.

In additions, there will be a showing of the video of the match from last Friday night versus vs Glasgow Warriors in the bar.

As previously indicated, gates open at 6.30 pm for a 7.30pm kick off.
