Blue Bulls lose hooker Visagie for Currie Cup season

Jaco Visagie will miss the Currie Cup season

Blue Bulls hooker Jaco Visagie has been ruled out for the remainder of the Absa Currie Cup season with an ankle injury.

Visagie sustained the season ending injury playing in the Currie Cup two weeks ago against the Sharks in Durban.

The hooker suffered ligament damage and has been ruled out for the rest of the year.

Visagie’s injury means that the Blue Bulls long term injury list has three new faces from last week.

Visagie (ankle, three/four months), Jannes Kirsten (ankle, three months) and Roelof Smit (wrist, four months) have joined the regulars in Irne Herbst (knee), Piet van Zyl (knee), Hanru Liebenberg (small bowel rupture, twelve weeks), Callie Visagie (foot, three months), Morné Mellett (neck, four months), Dennis Visser (ankle, three weeks), Nic de Jager (ankle, two months) and Entienne Swanepoel (back, two weeks).

The Blue Bulls team will face the Pumas on Friday.
