Australia lose Pocock for England Test series

David Pocock will not play against England again this month

Wallabies and Brumbies number 8 David Pocock will play no further part in Australia’s Test series against England due to injury.

Pocock was replaced in the 69th minute under the blood rule before scans later confirming a fractured eye socket.

The 28-year-old has missed just one Test through injury since 2014, following a season ending knee reconstruction.

Wallabies Head Coach Michael Cheika has not confirmed a replacement for Pocock, with Western Force number 8 Ben McCalman and Waratahs veteran Wycliff Palu both part of the touring party.

The Wallabies today travel to Melbourne, ahead of their second Test showdown against England at AAMI Park on Saturday June 18.
