Argentina lose three key players for South Africa

Juan Martin Hernandez will miss the third place play off

South Africa will have a considerably easier task in their Rugby World Cup third place play off as three key Argentina players have been ruled out.

Agustin Creevy, Juan Imhoff and Juan Martin Hernandez will all miss the bronze final in London.

The three players all came off early in Argentina’s 29-15 defeat by Australia in the World Cup semi-final on Sunday.

Puma skipper Creevy suffered a hamstring strain, Hernandez hurt his ribs and top try-scorer Imhoff came off with a head injury, the Argentina Rugby Union said.

The bronze playoff is at London’s Olympic Stadium on Friday.
