Bristol docked a point

The board of England Rugby Ltd today deducted Bristol Rugby one Guinness Premiership point for fielding one of their players who was not registered with the club.

Haydn Thomas played for Bristol Rugby on December 22nd. He had previously been on loan to Exeter Chiefs but had not been correctly re-registered with Bristol.

He was therefore ineligible under Guinness Premiership regulations.

Bristol Rugby has informed ERL that they will not be appealing the decision.
