Gloucester full-back Olly Morgan is set to see a specialist in London who will determine the extent of the damage to the shoulder he injured in Friday’s 31-7 Heineken Cup victory over Bourgoin.
“Of all the injuries we sustained on Friday, Olly’s was the most serious but we are not in a position to fully determine the extent of the damage at the moment. Coach Dean Ryan told This is Gloucestershire.
“He will see a specialist and then we will have a much clearer idea of the nature of the injury and any likely recovery time.
“We are obviously disappointed for Olly because he was playing very well and any period of time on sidelines would be a set-back for him and the club.”
Other injuries sustained in the match were Iain Balshaw, Mike Tindall and Chris Paterson. Balshaw and Tindall are expected to resume training this week while Paterson continues to be monitored.
