Leinster home safely against Edinburgh

Leinster secured a home win against Edinburgh and ended up 28 -14 winners. Leinster seemed to have the match sewn up by half time leading 18-3.

Andy Robinson’s side had an improved second half but the first half tries by Jamie Heaslip and Keith Gleeson of Leinster had built too large a lead for Edinburgh.

Leinster will rue not being able to secure a bonus point for a fourth try after Contepomi scored their third.

Full-back Rob Kearney had a try ruled out by television match official Daniel Gillet.
