Farrell set for new contract

Andy Farrell’s improved form in recent weeks is set to be rewarded with a new contract.

Saracens owner Nigel Wray has reportedly offered the England centre a new deal which will extend for a further two years beyond his current deal, which expires at the end of this season.

The 32-year-old has been in outstanding form for the Men in Black of late, producing a titanic display in Biarritz before pulling his side from the mire at Llanelli Scarlets last weekend.

“We’ve been talking about a new contract, which is basically done and dusted,” said Wray to This is local London.

A late Farrell penalty in the match against Scarlets gave Sarries a bonus point which earned them a place in the EDF Energy Cup Semi-final.
