Sarries go through to EDF Energy Semi finals

Saracens produced a great comeback at Stradey Park to book a place in the EDF Energy Cup semi-finals. They lost the match but picked up two bonus points for scoring four tries and losing by seven points or less.

Unsually for any rugby team Saracens were awarded not one but two penalty tries in the match. Saracens’ first penalty try came from the resulting penalty as home prop Deacon Manu was penalised for collapsing the scrum.

Scarlets also scored three tries as MacLeod, S. Jones, Davies and Evans all went over. Jones however was only able to convert two of the tries but slotted three penaties.
