Newports Dragons suffered their their first ever loss in a home game in the EDF Energy Cup and they are now without a win in their last six matches since beating Edinburgh at Murrayfield 19-13 in the Magners League on 12 October.
Gloucester’s Gareth Delve scored a late try that ensured another last-gasp win for Gloucester as they did in the 27-25 win over Harlequins in the Guinness Premiership last week.
The Dragons led 8-3 af half time after they scored the first try of the match when Adam Black scored his close range try.
Chris Paterson’s conversion on Delve’s late try sealed the win in difficult conditions.
