Sale forward Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe will be out of action for four weeks due to a broken thumb.
It is understood that he broke the thumb playing against Montpellier, and an x-ray confirmed the early suspicions.
“The thumb was troubling me after the Montpellier game and a break was diagnosed,” Fernandez Lobbe said.
The Argentinean forward has had an operation to correct the break and expects to be back in action in December.
“I have had an operation to correct the damage and I am aiming to play against Bayonne at Edgeley Park in December,” he added.
