Montpellier confirm Du Plessis brothers signing

French Rugby Club Montpellier have confirmed that they have signed Springboks and Sharks front row brothers Jannie and Bismarck du Plessis.

The Sharks confirmed the Du Plessis brothers departure a week ago but they failed to add where the players would be playing their game.

Prop Jannie (32 years, 62 caps) and hooker Bismarck (31 years, 70 caps) will join Montpellier after the Northern Hemisphere’s summer break.

The Springbok duo have both signed with Montpellier for three seasons.

The pair won the Rugby World Cup in 2007 under current Montpellier coach and former Springbok and Sharks coach Jake White.

“They have a good experience,” said White of the double signing.

“This is fantastic for them to come here and share their knowledge with their fellow Montpellier players.”
