Sharks beat Stormers in Durban

Out of the last six Super Rugby matches between the Durban based Sharks and the Cape Town based Stormers both teams have won three matches each.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Sharks kick off and we are underway. 

1.00: After a session of play the game is held up for an injury to Jannie du Plessis. 

2.00: The game resumes with a scrum. 

4.00: The scrum collapses and has to be reset a couple of times. Penalty to the Sharks from the scrum. The Sharks kick for touch. 

8.00: Penalty to the Stormers. He will kick for posts. Coleman takes the shot and he nails it. 

9.00: There is a break in play as Andre Esterhuizen is yellow carded for a dangerous tackle on Michael Rhodes He is off for 10 minutes. Stormers kick for touch. 

13.00: The Stormers win a penalty from the scrum in their half. Coleman kicks for touch. 

16.00: The Stormers kick upfield and the Sharks go to gather the ball it gets knocked on. 

17.00: The Sharks get a boot to a loose ball. The ball is kicked again and then fumbled over the line.  Lionel Cronje and Pat Howard go for the ball and the TMO has to decide who touched the ball first. The TMO rules that Cronje got to it first so its a TRY! 

18.00: Cronje misses the conversion. 

22.00: The Sharks try to kick upfield but JP Pietersen is caught in front of the kicker. Stormers penalty. Coleman lines up. 

24.00: Coleman takes the kick and nails it. 

25.00: Lionel Cronje goes high for a ball but collides with the cameraman. The Sharks win the put in and kick across the field for touch. 

27.00: The Stormers concede a penalty at the line out. The Sharks kick for touch. 

29.00: The Sharks try to run the ball from their 22 but Marco Wentzel’s pass is well forward. 

31.00: The Sharks win the ball from a scrum and kick upfield. Sharks No.8 is caught offside. Penalty to the Stormers. 

33.00: Coleman lines up the posts. He takes the kick and nails it.

37.00: This is a game of penalties. The Sharks are awarded a penalty so Cronje takes the kick and he nails it. 

39.00: The sharks chip the ball ahead and S’bura Sithole chases. Coleman gets back but has to take the ball into touch. The Sharks then win the line out and work the ball up to the tryline. 

40.00: The Sharks go over the line and Stefan Ungerer claims he has scored. The TMO checks. The try is awarded. 

Lionel Cronje takes the conversion kick but misses. Its half time.

The Stormers kick off and we are underway. 

43.00: The Sharks win a penalty in their 22 after Oli Kebble got isolated. 

44.00: Jannie du Plessis almost gets over for his first Super Rugby try but his brother Bismarck has a foot in touch so he is denied. 

47.00: Penalty to the Stormers. Kurt Coleman lines up the kick. He nails it. 

50.00: The Sharks break out and Bismarck du Plessis gets over in the corner and scores. His brother puts his hand out for the ball to score but Bismarck scores it anyway. TRY! The try was created largely by a break from Odwa Ndungane. 

52.00: Lionel Cronje slots the conversion. 

57.00: Jannie du Plessis comes off for the Sharks for the last time. Tendai Mtwarira has suffered concussion so he will stay off. 

61.00: The Sharks win a scrum. Pietersen tries to kick through but it bounces off a Stomers player. The Sharks get the ball back and Cronje grubbers it through and Lwazi Mvovo gets the ball and scores. TRY! Bonus point. 

63.00: Cronje adds the conversion. 

71.00: Jaco Taute comes close to scoring for the Stormers but he is denied. Willem Alberts comes off. 

74.00: Lwazi Mvovo is upended in a tackle by Robert du Preez and he is yellow carded. 

76.00: Bismarck du Plessis comes off to much applause. 

77.00: The Sharks use the numbers in the backline and Odwa Ndungane gets into space and he goes in to score. TRY! 

78.00:Fred Zeilinga adds the conversion. 

80.00: The siren sounds. Dale Chadwick boots the ball into touch. Tahts it. The Sharks have won.
