Spies and Steyn linked to French club Montpellier

Bulls captain Pierre Spies and a number of other South African and Australians have been linked with French Top 14 Rugby club Montpellier who are coached by former Sharks Super Rugby Director of Rugby Jake White.

Reports in French press says that Spies will leave the Bulls and play for Montpellier on a two year contract and that White is close to signing Springbok utility back Frans Steyn.

Last week the Sharks duo of Jannie and Bismarck du Plessis were linked to the club by their agent.

The club have already announced the signings of Shalk Van der Merwe (Lions), Jacques du Plessis (Bulls),Nic White (Brumbies), Cameron Wright (Sharks), Demetri Catrakilis (Stormers) and Jessie Mogg (Brumbies) on their site.
