Brumbies beat Bulls in Canberra

Out of the last six Super Rugby matches between the Canberra based Brumbies and the Pretoria based Bulls the Brumbies have won three and the Bulls have also won three.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Brumbies kick off and we are underway. 

3.00: The Brumbies press the Bulls back in their 22 but the Bulls defend well and after a line out the Bulls press them back to the 10m line. 

6.00: Penalty to the Brumbies. Christian Lealiifano takes the kick but misses. 

10.00: Another penalty to the Brumbies – not rolling away. Lealiifano takes the kick and he misses again. Brumbies have enjoyed 80% territory so far. 

14.00; The Bulls get some ball and push the Bulls back into their 22. Nic White kicks for touch. 

15.00: The Bulls win the line out and use the maul. They win a penalty for side entry. Handre Pollard will kick for posts. 

16.00: Pollard slots the penalty and the Bulls lead despite having almost no ball. 

20.00: The Bulls are a lot more in the game now. The Brumbies kick for territory so the Bulls kick back. Nic White gets caught offside so the Bulls have a penalty. 

22.00: Pollard takes the kick and nails it. 

24.00: The Brumbies win a penalty but Sam Carter has his knee twisted as a player falls on to him in the tackle. Carter tries to stay on but he has to come off. Lealiifano slots the penalty and the Brumbies are on the board. 

29.00: The Brumbies go through 7 phases on attack and they get into the Bulls 22. Coleman slips through a tackle but is stopped. The ball is recycle and goes to Jordan Smiler who slips through and scores. TRY! 

31.00;Lealiifano takes the conversion kick and misses it. 

33.00: Pollard goes for a drop goal after the Bulls had become frustrated with the Brumbies defence. He misses. 

36.00: The Brumbies scrum wheels and wins them a penalty. They kick for touch. 

38.00: The Brumbies up the intensity as the half time approaches. They get the ball into the Bulls 22 and then after 5 phases they get to the Bulls 5m line. 

39.00: The Brumbies keep the ball alive but its slow and the Bulls turn the ball over and kick for touch. 

40.00: The siren sounds for half time. The Brumbies throw the ball in for the line out but the ball goes to the Bulls who kick it out.

Handre Pollard kicks off for the Bulls and the second half is underway. 

42.00: The Bulls win an early penalty. Pollard takes the kick and nails it. The Bulls lead. 

45.00: The first scrum of the match is completed and the Brumbies give the ball to Henry Speight at first receiver and he beats Pollard and Odendaal and races for the line and scores under the posts. TRY!  

46.00: Lealiifano adds the conversion and the Brumbies lead by 6. 

49.00: The Bulls win a penalty. Pollard takes the shot but misses. 

55.00: The Brumbies win a penalty for joining the ruck incorrectly. The TMO is called in for some foul play. Nothing comes of it and Nic White finds touch. 

58.00: The Brumbies win the line out. They move the ball down the line across the face of the posts and Speight beats JJ Engelbrecht and goes over to score his second TRY! 

59.00: Lealiifano adds the conversion to extend the lead. 

61.00: Jesse Mogg goes down with cramp and has to be helped from the field. 

67.00: The Bulls get a penalty in front of the posts. They set up the maul and drive over the line to score their first TRY!  Lappies Labuschagne is awarded the try.

68.00: Pollard adds the conversion.  

72.00:The Bulls win a penalty from the maul. They kick for touch and set up a line out on the Brumbies 22m line. The Bulls win the line out but Pocock wins the ball back for the Brumbies. They lose the ball and the Bulls attack again but they concede penalty for obstruction. 

75.00: The Brumbies win a penalty in their half. They kick for touch and set up a line out on the Bulls 22m line. 

76.00: The Brumbies lose the ball at the line out and it gets kicked towards the Brumbies tryline. Spies and Tomane race for the ball but it goes into touch. 

77.00: The Bulls win their line out and run the ball. At the breakdown the Brumbies turn the ball over and kick upfield. 

79.00: Penalty to the Brumbies. Front row angling in. Nic White kicks for the corner and the line out. He doesnt find it. The Bulls begin their counter attack. Bjorn Basson gets into space but runs into touch. 

80.00: The line out will be held and that will be it. 

81.00: The Bulls come away with the ball from the line out but it gets lost and then goes to the Brumbies who kick it into touch. 

Thats it. The Brumbies have won.
