Chiefs lock Bardoul’s Super Rugby season over

The Chiefs stocks in the second row have suffered another blow as lock Johan Bardoul has been ruled out for the season.

Bardoul has ruptured the medial ligament in his right knee which is the same injury that his flatmate Michael Allardice suffered recently.

The injury occurred during the Chiefs 34-20 victory over the Bulls in Rotorua on Friday.

The injury means that Bardoul will be out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season with the recovery time for this type of injury expected to be up to eight weeks.
