Bulls arrive in Auckland with no aches and pains

The Bulls have been given a clean bill of health ahead of their Super Rugby tour opening match against the Blues in Auckland on Friday.

The whole Bulls squad received the all clear from doctor Org Strauss in Auckland on Monday with all but Dean Greyling taking part in full training.

Greyling will only take part in selected team training exercises as he is still recovering from a thigh hematoma sustained in a car crash two weeks ago.

All of Jesse Kriel (knee contusion), Arno Botha (hip), Bjorn Basson (ankle), Werner Kruger (ankle), Jacques-Louis Potgieter (Gr 2 hamstring tear), Burger Odendaal (ankle) and Jan Serfontein (hip) has recovered from their niggles and will be considered for the opening tour match against the Blues this weekend.

Irne Herbst has meanwhile joined the long-term injury list after rupturing his ACL.

He will only return to the playing field next year, alongside Piet van Zyl, who was also ruled out for the remainder of the season with the same injury.

Pierre Schoeman (knee), Bandise Maku (pectoral) and Ruan Steenkamp (knee) will all return on 31 July and Ryan Nell (knee) and Duncan Matthews (knee) on 31 August.
