Chiefs change five for Crusaders rematch

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has made five changes to the side that beat the Blues for this week’s match against the Crusaders on Friday in Christchurch.

The Chiefs hosted the Crusaders in Round three earlier this year and beat them 40-16 in Hamilton.

Tim Nanai-Williams, Sonny Bill Williams and Charlie Ngatai will all make their return from injury and come into the starting line up.

Nanai-Williams starts on the the right wing which pushes Tom Marshall out to fullback.

Michael Fitzgerald, Augustine Pulu and Andrew Horrell have all been rotated to the replacements bench.

Brad Weber starts at halfback and Sonny Bill Williams and Charlie Ngatai make up the midfield.

“The Crusaders are a quality side,” said Rennie looking ahead to this weekend.

“Our previous encounters with them have been of test match intensity and this is a must win game for both sides to remain in touch with the Hurricanes.”
