Stormers beat Waratahs in Sydney

Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Sydney based Waratahs and the Cape Town based Stormers the Waratahs have won two and the Stormers three.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Stormers kick off and we are underway.

1.00;The Stormers put the ball into touch early on. The Stormers win a line out and run at the Waratahs and the Stormers win a penalty for a high tackle. They kick for touch.

2.00: The Waratahs take the ball into touch. It’s scrappy but the Stormers win the ball and start their attack just outside the Waratahs 22.

4.00: The scrum has to be reset a couple of times. Penalty to the Stormers. The Stormers will kick for posts.

6.00: Catrakilis takes the kick for posts and he nails it.

7.00: Foley’s restart fails to travel 10m so we have a scrum on the half way line.

10.00: Penalty to the Waratahs. They will kick for posts.

11.00: Foley takes the kick but misses to the right.

12.00: Israel Folau gets the ball and gets the Tahs into space and he sucks in a defender and passes to Taqele Naiyaravoro who breaks three tackles and scores in the corner. TRY!

13.00: Foley takes the conversion kick from outwide but misses.

16.00: Penalty to the Stormers. Catrakilis takes the shot and nails it putting the Stormers back into the lead.

18.00; Juan de Jongh almost gets through down the wing but is caught by Kurtley Beale. The Stormers keep the ball alive and Catrakilis goes for a drop goal but misses.

21.00: The Waratahs lose the ball in their half. The Stormers pounce on the ball and send it wide to Dillyn Leyds who scores. TRY! That is the first Stormers try in Sydney since 2007.

22.00: Catrakilis slots the conversion.

25.00 : Penalty from the scrum to the Stormers. They kick for touch.

28.00: Manuel Carizza is back on from the blood bin for the Stormers.

29.00; The Waratahs try to attack in the Stormers 22 but they knock on.

30.00: Another penalty against the Waratahs at the scrum. They kick for touch and set up a line out near the half way line.

32.00; Michael Rhodes goes down in a tackle. The medics come in which pauses the game. He is helped from the field as his knee looks twisted. Siya Kolisi comes on.

33.00: The Waratahs are on the attack in the Stormers 22. They win a penalty. Foley will kick for posts. He nails it.

36.00: Beale gets the ball and almost gets through to score but he passes to Phipps and the Stormers scramble and kill the move. The Stormers knock on though.

38.00: The Scrum has to be reset.

39.00: The Waratahs win the scrum and send the ball out wide to Rob Horne on the wing. He goes over and scores in the corner. The TMO confirms. TRY!

40.00: Foley will kick for the lead at half time from out wide. He takes the shot and nails it. Tahs lead.

The Waratahs kick off and we are underway.

43.00: Early penalty to the Stormers, Catrakilis has been replaced so Kurt Coleman takes the shot from just inside his half. He misses.

44.00: The Waratahs go on the attack just inside the Stormers half but Burger gets trapped and concedes a penalty. Foley kicks for touch.

45.00: The Stomers (Coleman) chip the ball up ahead and Kobus van Wyk gathers the ball and races for the line and scores. TRY! Stormers lead.

47.00: Coleman slots the conversion and the Stormers are in front.

49.00: Penalty to the Waratahs. Foley lines up the kick but he hits the post. The Waratahs get the ball back and attack.

51.00: The Waratahs get the ball to the 5m line. They almost score the try but in the process there are several knock ons.

54.00: There is a break in play for an injury. The game resumes and the Stormers knock on giving the Waratahs a scrum just outside the Stormers 22.

57.00: Penalty to the Waratahs. Foley takes the shot. He nails it.

62.00: Injuries causing the game to be a stop start affair.

64.00: Penalty to the Stormers about 45m out. Coleman will kick for posts.

65.00: Coleman takes the kick and he has the distance but not the direction.

67.00: The Waratahs go through the phases in their half trying to make ground but they lose the ball and the Stormers chip over and into touch.

69.00: Penalty from the scrum to the Waratahs. They kick for touch and set the line out up about 5m into Stormers territory. Waratahs win the line out and run at the Stormers.

70.00: Juan de Jongh gets a hand to the ball and passes it to Damian de Allende who races away to score. TRY!

71.00: Coleman adds the conversion.

76.00: Waratahs go through 23 phases but go backwards. They lose the ball and Cheslin Kolbe races through and scores the bonus point TRY!

78.00: Coleman misses the conversion.

80.00: The Waratahs win a penalty as the siren sounds. They take the quick tap but knock on.
