Sale Sharks to tackle Samoa in RWC warm up

Sale Sharks have arranged a pre-season warm-up game with Samoa.

The Pacific Islanders will be at Edgeley Park on August 24 in what will be their final game in the build-up to the World Cup in France.

“It is great news for the club, supporters and the region to be able to host Manu Samoa, currently ranked by the IRB as the 10th best side in world rugby,” said the Sharks’ commercial and marketing director, Nathan Bombrys.

“On the back of the successful England Saxons v USA match in May, we’re excited to be able to attract international opposition to Edgeley Park for the second time this summer, and provide our supporters with another preview of England’s World Cup opposition.”
