Former All Black fullback and Rugby World Cup winner Mils Muliaina’s hangs in the balance after he was arrested by the South Wales Police on suspicion of sexual assault.
Muliaina’s Irish club Connacht confirmed that the former All Black was assisting the Police with enquiries relating to an alleged incident in Cardiff in March of this year.

“As this is a legal matter, Connacht Rugby will be making no further comment at this time.”
A spokesman from Gloucestershire Police confirmed that a man in his 30s had been arrested at Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium “on suspicion of sexual assault in relation to an incident in Cardiff in March”.
The spokesman added: “The man has been handed over to officers from South Wales Police, who are investigating the incident.”
Earlier this week it was announced that the one-hundred cap All Black will leave Connacht at the end of the season and join Italian Rugby club Zebre.
Muliaina retired from playing international rugby at the end of the 2011 world cup and moved to Japan before re-joining Super Rugby side the Chiefs in 2014 after which he joined Connacht.
