All Black Retallick returns for Chiefs against Blues

The Chiefs have named their team to play the Blues at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton with All Black Brodie Retallick returning to the starting side.

The Chiefs have made several changes to their side but the most notable is the return of All Black Retallick who has recovered from a shoulder injury.

Mitchell Graham will get his first start in the front row beside Hika Elliot, who returns after sitting out the last match. Forward Quentin MacDonald comes into the replacements along side prop Pauliasi Manu.

Augustine Pulu takes over the halfback position with James Lowe returning to the left wing.

Andrew Horrell starts in the midfield and is joined by Tom Marshall on the right wing.

Liam Squire gets the opportunity to play his first Super Rugby match of the season having returned from injury and is joined by Anton Lienert-Brown. Brad Weber and Bryce Heem both move to the bench.

Chiefs Coach Dave Rennie said, “The matches between these two teams are traditionally real arm wrestles.”

“The Blues have plenty of high quality players and have come close nearly every week, so we will give them the respect they deserve and expect it to be an entertaining, tough match.”

In other Chiefs news Jamie Mackintosh, Marty McKenzie and Hosea Gear will be in action for a Chiefs development side against a Blues Development side in the curtain raiser match at 4.45pm.
