No Carter for Crusaders against Sharks in Durban

All Blacks and Crusaders star Dan Carter will miss the Crusaders Super Rugby match this weekend against the Sharks in Durban.

Carter has flown home to New Zealand from South Africa to attend the birth of his second child.

The star five-eighth has been replaced in the Crusaders squad on tour by Nathaniel Apa and Colin Slade is likely to start in the number 10 jersey.

Carter featured for the Crusaders in the number 10 jersey against the Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday and kicked 14 of his team’s 19 points.

The Crusaders lost the match 31-19 to the Bulls.

Carter is expected to be back for the Crusaders in their Round 9 match against the Highlanders on April 11.

Carter missed the Crusaders second and third round matches due to a leg injury but since he has returned to playing he has put in some solid performances.
