Crusader Carter’s leg injury ‘not serious

All Blacks and Crusaders flyhalf Dan Carter has confirmed that the leg injury he suffered in the Crusaders 10-20 loss to the Rebels in their Super Rugby opener is “not serious.”

Carter stretched to catch a ball near the dead ball line in the second half in Christchurch but stayed on until the 74th minute of the match despite looking a little uncomfortable at times.

The All Black legend says that he is fine and that he expects to be fit to face the Highlanders in the Crusaders second round clash next week.

Carter said that “it was just a dead leg, I am sure it was nothing serious.”

“I just thought it was a wee knock to the leg and sometimes with those dead legs you can run them off.”

“I gave it a good 10 minutes but felt like a liability out there and came off in the last 10,” added Carter.
