Scotland add prop Grant to Six Nations squad

Scotland have added Glasgow Warriors loose-head prop Ryan Grant to their Six Nations squad after he was acquitted of an assault charge.

Scotland coach Vern Cotter left Grant out of his original squad while the assault case went through the courts.

The charge against Grant was “not proven” so he is free to represent Scotland in the Six Nations.

The twenty-nine-year-old British and Irish Lion from Kirkcaldy has played 19 times for his country since his 2012 debut and will join his teammates at Murrayfield Stadium on Monday.

Scotland begin their Six Nations championship campaign against France in Paris on February 7.
