Highlanders name trial squad to face Crusaders

Dunedin based Super Rugby franchise the Highlanders have named their squad to play a Super Rugby warm up trial match against the Crusaders on Saturday in Timaru.

The match is first preseason match of three for the the Highlanders and head coach Jamie Joseph has named a squad that does not feature any of his All Blacks.

Joseph said that while there won’t be any All Blacks on display it will be a good opportunity for him to give the balance of his squad some game time.

Next week the squad leaves for a two match tour of Australia to play the Brumbies and the Rebels.

The match kicks off on Saturday at 2.30pm.
