Wales prop Jones in doubt for Six Nations

Wales prop Rhodri Jones is in doubt for the Six Nations next month after his club revealed that he has dislocated his shoulder.

Twenty-three-year-old prop Jones has won 13 caps for Wales and suffered the injury in Scarlets’ 22-10 Celtic League victory over the Ospreys on Saturday.

Scarlets said that Jones would see a specialist on Tuesday this week.

Meanwhile Jones’s front-row colleague Kirby Myhill has suffered a suspected pectoral muscle tear.

In a statement Scarlets said, “tighthead prop Rhodri Jones sustained a dislocated right shoulder, which was relocated while on the field, and was sent for preliminary imaging on Saturday evening”.

“Both Jones and Myhill will meet with consultant specialists today (Tuesday) to discuss the prognosis and to put a rehabilitation plan in place.”

Wales kick off their Six Nations championship at home in Cardiff against England on February 6.
