Toulon fullback Delon Armitage has lodged an appeal against the 12-week suspension imposed on him by an independent Disciplinary Committee.
Armitage was given a 12 week ban as a result of a misconduct complaint following his club’s European Rugby Champions Cup match against Leicester Tigers on 7 December 2014.
The Disciplinary Committee found that Armitage had directed abusive language at Leicester Tigers supporters after the match at Welford Road and was therefore guilty of misconduct.
The appeal will be heard in London on Thursday, 8 January 2015 by an independent Appeal Committee consisting of Lorne Crerar (Scotland), Chairman, Rod McKenzie (Scotland) and Simon Thomas (Wales)
