Ulster kept their slim hopes of qualification for the Rugby Champions Cup knock-out stages alive by beating Scarlets with a 24-9 bonus point win.
A late tackle on the home fly-half sent Scarlets flanker James Davies to the sin bin, allowing Ulster to take charge.
Ulster will await fitness reports on Stuart Olding, Wiehahn Herbst and van der Merwe ahead of next Sunday’s game at Parc Y Scarlets after all three had to be replaced due to injury.
