France coach Philippe Saint-Andre has named his team to play Fiji in Marseille on Saturday with South African Scott Spedding at fullback.
Twenty-eight-year-old Spedding will make his debut for France after joining the squad as an injury replacement for first-choice No.15 Brice Dulin.
A second South African has been included in the side as Bernard Le Roux starts at No.7.
Spedding joined French side Brive in 2012 and has been elevated into the France starting team as Dulin and Maxime Medard are both injured.
Saint Andre has also called up two Racing Metro backs – Alexandre Dumoulin in the centre and Teddy Thomas out wide on the wing who both get their first call ups.
The France coach has also named a new half-back combination of Sebastien Tillous-Borde of Toulon and Camille Lopez of Clermont.
The team will be captained by Thierry Dusautoir who is joined in the back three by Le Roux and Damien Chouly.
