Saracens vs Quins Anglo Welsh LV= Cup preview

Saracens have named Juan Figallo to make his club debut at tighthead prop in their Anglo Welsh LV= Cup match against Harlequins on Sunday.

The Argentine international who signed for the club from Top 14 side Montpellier, has recovered from a calf injury to take his place in the front row alongside Scott Spurling and Rhys Gill.

Elsewhere in the Saracens forwards, Jim Hamilton is partnered by Mouritz Botha at lock, with Maro Itoje captaining the side from the blindside flanker. Itoje is joined by Jacques Burger and Ernst Joubert in the back row.

At half-back Ben Spencer partners Nils Mordt, whilst at centre, Duncan Taylor is named alongside Nick Tompkins.

In the back-three, Romanian winger Catalin Fercu starts on the left wing, with summer signing Mike Ellery on the opposite flank – Ben Ransom is named at full-back.

On the bench, trialist Brett Sharman is named as replacement hooker, with Richard Barrington & Biyi Alo the other front-row replacements.

Nick de Jager and Matt Hankin are also named in the squad, with Tom Whiteley, Argentine international Marcelo Bosch and former New Zealand 7s player Jack Wilson also named in the squad.

For Harlequins, Ross Chisholm makes his first start for the club this season and is joined in the back three by Charlie Walker and Ollie Lindsay-Hague.

Karl Dickson captains the side from scrum-half, with Louis Grimoldby named at fly-half.

Seven of the starting forward pack are under 25, with Rob Buchanan, George Merrick, Sam Twomey, Joe Trayfoot and James Chisholm making their first starts of the season.

Among the replacements first year Academy members Kieran Treadwell and Henry Cheeseman are named, with Tim Swiel, who joined the club this week as injury cover for Ben Botica, looking to make his first appearance for the club.
