Leicester Tigers centre Manu Tuilagi has been ruled out of England’s Autumn International against New Zealand’s All Blacks and could miss the rest of the Test series.
Tuilago injured his groin in Leicester’s 25-18 European Rugby Champions Cup win over Ulster on Saturday and had to leave the field early on.
The twenty-three-year-old centre has been capped 25 times for England and played on the wing in one test against New Zealand in June in the summer.
Leicester Tigers Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill says that Tuilagi will still be named in the England squad on Wednesday even though he could miss all of England’s Tests.
“I’d be very surprised if Manu plays any part in the autumn, ” Cockerill told the BBC.
England start their Autumn Internationals on November the 8th against New Zealand with matches against South Africa, Samoa and Australia in the following weeks.
On Saturday when the Tuilagi suffered the injury Cockerill said, “It’s a recurrence of his groin, which is not great. That was three weeks last time. “
Tuilagi missed three matches with Leicester at the start of the season.
