Jordaan to miss 2015 Super Rugby season start

Sharks centre and wing Paul Jordaan will miss the start of the 2015 Super Rugby season after injuring his hip playing against the Lions in the Currie Cup on the weekend.

Jordaan has a fracture dislocation on his hip and has already undergone surgery but is expected to be on the sidelines for approximately six months.

Sharks Team Doctor Alan Kourie confirmed Jordaan’s injury on Monday and also revealed that Kyle Cooper was also injured playing Currie Cup rugby.

Cooper suffered an ankle injury in their victory over the Lions and will be unavailable for selection this weekend when the Sharks take on Western Province.

The Sharks won the Currie Cup in 2013 but have not been one of the dominant teams in the 2014 Currie Cup season. They have however already secured a place in the 2014 play offs.
