England lose Youngs for November Internationals

Leicester Tigers hooker Tom Youngs has been ruled out of England’s Autumn Internationals after his Premiership club announced that he will be out of action until the end of the year.

Youngs was forced from the field in Leicester’s 45-0 away drubbing to Bath on the weekend with a shoulder injury.

Leicester Tigers Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill has said that the hooker will be sidelined for three months due to the shoulder injury.

The news is a blow for Leicester who have already lost captain Ed Slater for the season after he had off-season surgery.

England play New Zealand, South Africa,Samoa and Australia in the Autumn Internationals and will most likely start Dylan Hartley in Young’s absence.

Youngs missed England’s tour of New Zealand while he looked after his sick wife and only last week spoke of his gratitude to coach Stuart Lancaster for giving him time off without it impacting on his England selection.
