Brumbies beat the Western Force in Canberra

Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Brumbies and the Western Force the Canberra based Brumbies have won four and lost once.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The Force kick off and we are underway.

2.00: The Force enjoy 16 phases on attack and get to 5m out but the Brumbies defend and push them backwards.

3.00: The Brumbies turn the ball over and take it over the half way line and they win a penalty. Nic White will kick for posts.

4.00: White takes the kick but misses.

6.00: The Brumbies attack the Force in the corner and Matt Toomua slips through and scores. TRY!

7.00: Christian Lealiifano takes the conversion but it curls in too far and misses.

10.00: The Force get the ball down into the Brumbies half and they win a penalty.

12.00: Jayden Hayward takes the kick and misses.

14.00: Another penalty to the Brumbies so Lealiifano takes the kick and this one he nails.

17.00: The Force win a penalty back (Steve Walsh is the referee) so Hayward takes the shot and gets the Force on the board.

21.00: Penalty to the Force in front of the posts but outside of the Brumbies 22. Hayward takes the kick and nails it.

23.00: Yet another penalty. This one is to the Brumbies so Lealiifano takes the kick and nails it.

25.00:Sam Carter gets into space for the Brumbies. He is caught and the Brumbies keep the ball alive. They go through a couple of phases and Toomua slips inside Nick Cummins and scores. TRY!

26.00: Lealiifano misses the conversion.

30.00:The Force try to attack the Brumbies but they have to kick for touch as the Brumbies defence is stifling.

31.00: The Brumbies line out is not straight so the Force have a scrum.

34.00: The Brumbies have the ball in the Force’s half after a chargedown. They go wide and stretch the Force’s defence and Rathbone sets up Mogg who scores. TRY!

36.00: Lealiffano misses the conversion again.

39.00: The Brumbies pin the Force back in their half with territory kicks. Toomua sets up a line out but the siren sounds for half time.

The Brumbies kick off and we are underway with the second half. Alby Mathewson is on for the Force.

42.00: The Brumbies go through 16 phases and the ball is turned over and kicked out.

43.00: The Brumbies win their line out and they spin the ball to the other side at pace and Henry Speight crashes over in the corners for the BONUS point TRY!

44.00: Lealiifano just gets the conversion over.

49.00: Joe Tomane comes on for Clyde Rathbone.

52.00: The Force are awarded two quick tap penalties and they work the ball up to the 5m line.

53.00: The Force go through phase after phase on attack at short range. They get an advantage for offside but they continue to attack. The Force drive over the line and Pek Cowan scores. TRY! The Brumbies also lose Jarrad Butler to the sin bin.

54.00: Hayward adds the conversion.

55.00: The Brumbies go on the attack after the restart and Speight makes some ground on the wing. He is caught and Matt Toomua is there and he races down the wing and scores his hat trick TRY!

56.00: Lealiifano slots the conversion. The Brumbies are still a man down.

62.00: The Force make a break (Dane Haylett-Petty) with a chip and kick. The ball bounces between players and Chris Tuatara-Morrison chases and scores. We go back to check with the TMO and the TRY is awarded.

63.00: Hayward misses the conversion. Sias Ebersohn comes on for Hayward.

68.00: The Force make a mix up out wide and Joe Tomane gets the ball and races for the line and scores. TRY!
