Super Rugby franchise the Bulls appear to have agreed a deal that will take Springbok hooker and Cheetahs captain Adriaan Strauss back to Pretoria.
According to reports Strauss is about to sign a deal that will see him playing for the team he played Super Rugby for in 2006 before he went home to Bloemfontein and played for the Cheetahs.
It is understood that Strauss has already told the Cheetahs he is not interested in signing a contract extension and he is being chased by the Stormers and the Bulls.
Indications are that the Bulls have won the race to sign Strauss and the deal could be finalised later this week.
If the deal goes ahead Strauss would be an ideal candidate to take over the Bulls captaincy in 2015 and is said to be good friends with current captain and assistant coach Victor Matfield, who will take over as coach in 2016.
