Waratahs beat Brumbies in Sydney

Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the New South Wales Waratahs and the ACT Brumbies the Canberra side have won four and the Waratahs one.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The match is underway.

2.00: The Brumbies are winning the early territory battle and keeping the Waratahs pinned in their half.

3.00: The Brumbies win a penalty for offside and they will kick for posts. Christian Lealiifano takes the shot but misses.

4.00: The Waratahs keep the ball alive and they kick upfield. The Brumbies kick it back and then Folau kicks it back. Penalty to the Waratahs for players leaving their feet.

5.00: Foley kicks for touch for the penalty.

6.00: The Waratahs win the line out and get the ball into the Brumbies half but then the Brumbies win a penalty at the breakdown.

7.00: The Brumbies kick for touch and nail the 5m line. The Brumbies win the line out but the Waratahs intercept a pass and they run and then kick. Mogg kicks the ball back and into touch.

10.00: Tevita Kuridrani takes a blow and will come off for a concussion test.

12.00: Waratahs possession is up to 63% while the Brumbies is at 37%. The Waratahs scrum gets a talking to about engaging early.

14.00: Penalty to the Waratahs. They kick for touch and then win the line out. The Waratahs attack the Brumbies line by sending runners at pace and then Benn Robinson bashes over to open the scoring.

16.00: Bernard Foley slots the conversion.

18.00: The Brumbies look to spread the ball wide and then Alofa Alofa gets an intercept and races for the line and scores. TRY!

19.00: Foley slots the conversion as we learn that Kuridrani has failed the concussion test.

25.00: The Brumbies make a little ground in Waratahs territory but then Robbie Coleman knocks on in the tackle.

26.00: The Waratahs win a free kick from the scrum and kick for touch.

28.00: The Brumbies win two line outs in a row and they get to about 8m out after 6 phases. They kick across the field and Mogg races for the ball jumps up and beats Folau and scores. TRY!

30.00: Lealiifano takes the conversion kick from almost the touch line and misses.

34.00: The Waratahs win a scrum on the Brumbies 22. Foley almost gets through but the Waratahs keep the ball alive. The Brumbies push them back to the half way line and then the Waratahs win a penalty. Not rolling away.

35.00: Injury break for Dave Dennis. He has to be helped from the field, looks to be his right knee. Hooper assumes the captaincy and decides they will kick for posts.

36.00: Beale takes the shot but misses.

39.00: The Brumbies push the Waratahs down into their 22. After a scrum the Waratrahs to try run the ball out and then they have to recycle and kick.

The Waratahs kick off and we are underway with the second half.

42.00: Penalty to the Waratahs. Foley takes the kick and stabs it a little but its good.

46.00: Penalty to the Brumbies. Lealiifano takes the shot and nails it.

49.00: The Waratahs are awarded another penalty. Foley takes the shot but misses.

53.00: The Brumbies get a final warning for slowing the ball down and the Waratahs a penalty. Foley kicks for the corner and sets up a 5m line out.

56.00: The Waratahs up the pressure a little. Folau makes a break and seems to be caught but he just carries on going and goes over the line taking several players with him. We go to the TMO to check. No evidence of a grounding. No try.

59.00: Fotu Auelua is shown a yellow card as the Brumbies were on a final warning.

60.00: The Waratahs drive for the line and then Foley slips through and scores. TRY! He sold a dummy and
