All Black Smith out of final test against England

All Black centre Conrad Smith has been ruled out of New Zealand’s third Test against England in Hamilton on Saturday.

The All Black Rugby World Cup winner could also miss the rest of the Super Rugby season after he suffered a broken bone in his hand playing on Saturday.

The injury looks set to see the 77 Test back being sidelined for up to six weeks of rugby.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said that would make a decision later this week on whether to start Malakai Fekitoa or Ryan Crotty in Smith’s place.

Fekitoa made his All Black debut off the bench earlier this month having impressed for the Highlanders this year. If he is selected to replace Smith it would be his debut start for the All Blacks.

New Zealand have already won the series 2-0 having won the first Test 20-15 and the second Test 28-27.
