Reds winger ‘Rocket’ Rod Davies to play in France

French Pro D2 Rugby club Biarritz have signed Reds flying winger Rod Davies on a two year deal as they look to regain their Top14 Rugby status.

Twenty-five-year-old Davies will join Biarritz on a two year-deal that will start after he finishes his Super Rugby commitments with the Reds.

Davies who is nicknamed “The Rocket”,won a Super Rugby title with the Reds in 2011 and in that year he also won his one and only Wallabies cap.

Biarritz have also signed former Hurricanes and Blues second-rower Bryn Evans who has been with London Irish for the last three seasons.

Former Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan coaches Biarritz and has been tasked with getting them back into the Top14.
