Fullback Arscott leaves Exeter to play for Bath

Aviva Premiership Rugby club Bath have confirmed that they have signed Exeter Chiefs fullback Luke Arscott on a two year deal.

Twenty-nine-year-old Arscott has a wealth of experience having played for Plymouth Albion, Bristol and Exeter Chiefs.

Playing for Exeter Chiefs for the last four years, Arscott has emerged as one of the best fullbacks in the Aviva Premiership, secure under the high ball, fierce in defence and devastating in attack.

Speaking of the signing, Bath Head Coach, Mike Ford, said, “We are really pleased Luke is joining us. “

“We had a gap in the squad for a more experienced out-and-out fullback, and Luke fits the bill perfectly. He’s got all the attributes you’d expect, and he’ll be a very good fit at the Club.”

Arscott added,”I’m very excited by the opportunity to join Bath, and I’m looking forward to linking up with the squad for pre-season.”

“You can see how much they have developed this year, and the potential that is still there, so it will be great to be part of that going forward into the new season.”
