Crusaders captain Kieran Read says that he was satisfied with his first 80 minutes of Super rugby in six weeks ahead of the June break.
Read returned for the Crusaders on Friday and helped them to a 30-7 victory over the Western Force.
The current IRB player of the year played the full match after missing the Crusaders last five matches due to concussion and illness.
“I think it was alright,” Read told NewstalkZB.
“Don’t think it was that quick a game, but certainly it’s pretty tough sometimes to get through 80… but just to go at it and go hard and get through it.”
